PROJECT MARBLE EURASIA NATURAL STONE, MARBLE PROJECT AND TECHNOLOGIES FAIR is co-organized by Pyramids Group and Expotim Group.
Expotim International Fair Org. is established in April 2003 with a group of people experienced at fair organization sector; Expotim has set customer satisfaction as its primary principle and is playing a crucial role in increasing the Turkish export figures. Expotim, which is authorized by the Turkish Ministry of Economy with B-Class license to organize exhibitions abroad, has different sector-specific sales groups of Textile, Machinery, Construction, Energy, Agriculture and Food, and Automotive. The number of total employees is 80 at the moment.
The company’s sector-specific structure is supported with specialized service departments, thereby customer-centered system contribute to both customer satisfaction and development of Turkey. Expotim exhibitions are organized by experienced staff members who are specialized in their fields.
Ladin Fair, which is established in 1993, was bought by Expotim in 2007.
Turkish government has authorized 21 licensed organizers for 268 exhibitions abroad in 2012. Expotim is the organizer of 33 of them (% 12.3) while Ladin has 10 exhibitions (% 3.7 ) in the list.
Until 2012, Expotim and Ladin organized 232 exhibition in 32 different countries.
Since Expotim was established, exhibition area has been sold over 200.000 sqm. Number of exhibiting companies is above 8000.
Expotim staff aim at providing customers with best services and are at customers’ disposal during all process starting from floor plan design until the end of fair to offer meticulous and systematic service. The score of exhibitions organized successfully so far are a result of this system. “Your Business, Our World” is our motto.
Pyramids International is the biggest trade fair organizer of the Middle East and North Africa first established in Cairo. Pyramids International has been providing services to the industry with an experienced team and professional understanding since 1993.
In 2003, Pyramids International has launched Istanbul office, Turkey as Pyramids Group Fair, operating in more than 50 different countries and 70 sales partners. It has approximately 100 employees now.
Pyramids International and Pyramids Group Fair are sister companies.
Pyramids International built its own fairground which is UFI Member (since 2012) in Iraq in 2010. Basrah International Fairground has modern infrastructure with international standards on an area of 30.000 sqm. Pyramids International has become a member of UFI in 2012.
Pyramids now has 9 offices (in Istanbul-Turkey, Ankara-Turkey, Antalya-Turkey, Cairo-Egypt, Baghdad-Iraq, Erbil-Iraq, Basrah-Iraq, Amsterdam-Netherlands, Casablanca- Morocco) and approximately 300 employees. Every year around 50 fairs are held by Pyramids Group. Around 10.000 exhibitors and 500.000 visitors attend those fairs.
Pyramids has been organizing Building, Construction & Stone, Machinery, Furniture & Home Textile, Fashion & Tex, Investment & Real Estate, Logistics, Automotive & Spare Parts, Medical Care & Health and Energy Fairs in Iraq (Basrah, Erbil), Egypt(Cairo), Turkey(Antalya), the Netherlands(Amsterdam), Morocco(Casablanca).
Pyramids aims to carry the exporting companies into new markets and increase market share in right place at the right time with the right trade fair organizations.
Pyramids provides professional support to the participants at all necessary subjects related with the fairs. It is provided by collecting the data base of chamber of commerce & industries, councils, associations, businessmen; inviting the “hosted buyer delegations” from the regional chamber of commerce, one by one with VIP invitations in order to organize B2B meetings; organizing matchmaking of the delegations with the exhibitors.
Istanbul Mineral Exporters’ Association (IMIB) is a professional non-profit association which deals with all export activities in minerals sector. Istanbul Mineral Exporters’ Association was founded in 1976 and has 2.425 members as of 2015. Among the principle areas of business of IMIB are natural stones, borates and concentrates, chromium ore, copper ore, magnesite, ferrochromium, zinc ore and feldspar products.
Turkey, situated on the Alpine Belt, where the world’s richest marble deposits are found, is among the world’s oldest natural stone producers with four thousand years of production history that starts with the Marmara Island. With the Marmara and Aegean Regions at the forefront, almost in all geographical regions from the Thrace to the Eastern Anatolia, more than 400 different colors textures and patterns of natural stones are found that are of a quality capable of gaining appreciation in the world markets. Among these, granite, onyx, limestone, basalt, andesite, slate stone and diabase are types of stones that are leading in production with marble and travertine.
Turkey is also among the most important natural stone producers in the world, with its developing industry and production technology. Turkish natural stone sector has an important place in the world with is richness of variety and reserves, sector experience, abundance of raw materials, ease of shipment in sea transportation, its dynamic sector structure, the new technologies being utilized and its broad color spectrum. Turkey is today one of the most important countries in the natural stone sector with more than a thousand large and small quarries.
